The PatchPost web portal, documentation, and software are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Reproduction, distribution, or modification of the Service’s content or software is not permitted except in accordance with our Terms of Service or with explicit written permission. (Open-source components of PatchPost are available under their respective licenses on our GitHub repository; see the repository for details. This does not override any terms for using the hosted Service.)
Impressum (Legal Disclosure): As an operator based in the UK, we adhere to UK laws and regulations applicable to online services. NexCore currently operates as a sole trader and is not registered as a limited company. The service is provided out of [England, United Kingdom]. We do not have a VAT number as we are below the threshold of VAT registration (if applicable). If any regulatory registration or license applies in the future, we will update this section accordingly.
Content Liability: We make every effort to monitor the content on PatchPost, especially content in our own documentation or official communications. However, much of the content distributed through PatchPost is user-generated (created and managed by the users/Discord communities). As outlined in our Terms of Service, users are responsible for the content they publish via PatchPost. We do not assume liability for external or user-provided content that is transmitted through our Service (such as the changelog entries posted to Discord servers by users). While we reserve the right to remove content that violates our policies or the law, we are not responsible for monitoring or moderating all user content in real time. If you encounter content through PatchPost that you believe is unlawful, infringing, or violates our Terms, please report it to us (see "Notice and Takedown" below).
External Links: Our website, documentation, or communications may contain links to external websites or third-party content (for example, links to our GitHub project, external libraries, or Discord itself). We have no influence over the information accessible via those external links and are not responsible for their content. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by NexCore of the linked site. External sites are subject to their own terms and policies. We advise you to review those if you visit external links. Should any linked content be found to be illegal or inappropriate, we will remove such links promptly upon gaining knowledge of the issue.
Trademarks and Affiliations: “PatchPost” and “NexCore” are trademarks or brand identifiers of our service. All product and company names mentioned within the Service (including in documentation or this Legal Notice) that are not owned by us are the property of their respective owners. Discord is a registered trademark of Discord Inc. NexCore/PatchPost is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Discord Inc. Use of the Discord name and API is solely to facilitate integration for user convenience under Discord’s developer terms. Any other third-party names or trademarks mentioned (such as software libraries, etc.) belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
Payments and Subscriptions: Premium upgrades are processed through Stripe. Stripe acts as our payment processor and stores billing details on our behalf. NexCore does not receive or store your full card number. You may cancel your subscription at any time from the PatchPost billing page or by contacting us through the channels above.
Notice and Takedown (Copyright or Abuse): If you believe that content available through PatchPost (for example, something posted by a user via our Service) infringes your copyright or other legal rights, or if you need to report unlawful content or misuse, please notify us so we can investigate. We have a procedure for handling such requests:
-
How to Notify Us: Send an email to our contact email address with the subject “Legal Notice – [Your Issue]”. In your notice, please include:
- Identification of the content or material you believe is infringing or violating the law (with specifics like the Discord server or channel, date, and a description or screenshot if possible).
- The reason for your complaint (e.g., “I am the copyright owner of this image and it was posted without permission,” or “This content violates laws/bylaws because...”).
- Your contact information (name and email, and if applicable, proof that you have rights to assert this complaint, like evidence of ownership or authority). We may also accept reports via the Discord support server for quicker action on clear-cut abuse (like spam or harassment), but formal copyright claims should be in writing (email) for proper documentation.
- Our Response: Upon receiving a valid notification, we will acknowledge it and promptly investigate. For copyright claims (akin to a DMCA request), if the claim appears valid, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content while we review the matter. For other abuse or legal issues, we will take appropriate action, which could include content removal, user suspension, or contacting relevant authorities, depending on the severity. We may reach out to the user who posted the content for their input, especially in cases of copyright where a counter-notice might be applicable. Our goal is to address legitimate complaints as quickly as possible while respecting all parties’ rights.
Limitation of Liability (Legal Notice): The information presented on our website and documentation is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. While we aim for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all information is up-to-date or error-free. We expressly disclaim liability for any errors or omissions in the content, or any losses or damages arising from the display or use of our website or Service, except as outlined in the Terms of Service. Use of PatchPost and reliance on any information provided is at your own risk. For limitations of liability regarding the use of the PatchPost Service itself, please refer to the Terms of Service above (Section 10).
Jurisdiction: This Legal Notice, as well as our Terms and Privacy Policy, are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes that may arise in relation to PatchPost or NexCore fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless otherwise required by consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
Privacy Compliance: For information on how we collect and use personal data, please see our Privacy Policy. We comply with UK data protection law and strive to handle user data lawfully and transparently. Any inquiries about data privacy should be directed to us as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to this Legal Notice: We may update this Legal Notice from time to time to reflect changes in regulations or our operations. The “Last Updated” date will change accordingly. Please review it periodically. If significant changes are made, we may also provide notification on our site or via user communication channels.
